Master of Education Program Requirements

The Master of Education requires a minimum of 33 total credits of coursework in the following sections of the program:

Foundational Core (6 credits)

  • EdAd 507 Social Foundations of Education (3 credits)
  • EdPsy 502 Theoretical Foundations of Learning & Instruction (3 credits)

Program Specialization/Focus Options (minimum total of 21 credits)

  • Curriculum and Instruction (may use ProTeach Professional Certification)
  • English Language Learners (ELL)
  • Literacy Education
  • Middle-level Math
  • Special Education (SpEd)
Note: Students may pursue their endorsement in Middle-level Math, English Language Learners, Reading and Special Education if desired through completion of specified courses.

Research (6 credits to be taken in order)

  • EdPsy 505 Research Methods (3 credits)
  • T&L 702 Final Independent Research Project (3 credits)
