Bachelor of Arts in Education Admission Requirements
Our goal is to prepare the best teachers possible. Therefore, we reserve the right to admit only the most highly qualified candidates. Meeting the following admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program.
- Junior standing through completion of 2012 WSUV BA in Education Prerequisite Courses.pdf with grade of āCā or higher in each course and completion of WSU lower-division General Education Requirements (GERs)
- 2.5 WSU and transfer GPA
- Passage of WEST-B exam
- 80 hours of supervised experience with K-12 aged children. Must be completed by January 15 application deadline and must have occurred within 3 years of the program start date
Note to Pullman and Tri-Cities BA in Education students: WSU students who have been admitted to the Pullman and Tri-Cities BA in Education program and wish to transfer to WSU Vancouver must observe the following:
- Submit written notification to the WSU Vancouver program no later than the January 15th BA in Education application deadline. Any notification received after January 15th will be considered on a space-available basis.
- All prerequisite courses and passing WEST-B scores must be completed by the time the program begins in the summer session.
